So I saw this today, and got thinkin'
. link So what if Shackelton had to ditch his two cases of 'whiskey' but in reality it is some sort of clue to 'a lost world', 'space aliens' or some other McGuffin inside of the wooden crates
So you could have teams of Americans, nazis, English, Japanese all duking it out to get the crate's 'contents' (a team of Scottish just wants the hooch back
), all the while battling yetis, vicious penguins and other ice monsters
My mind is reeling on the ideas

Every Scot knows just how precious the content of such bottles are, they contain the "Water of life" The secret to immortality, and they only thing that can allow you to run around naked in the Antarctic without freezing! PS this was the real reason Captain Oats took a stroll he wanted ice in his! Sacrilege! |

There must have been something fearsome pursuing Shackelton to risk a journey in an open boat then to leave a rear guard on the beach in South Georgia while he scaled the mountain. Nemo perhaps? A secret Atlantien they had thawed out? Or maybe the THING! |
