gettysburgdaily.com/?p=5629 This small and largely forgotten engagement marked the end of the Confederate goal of crossing the Susquehanna River during the Gettysburg Campaign and marching on Harrisburg. I cover this expedition to the river extensively in my recent book, Flames Beyond Gettysburg: The Gordon Expedition, June 1863. A Johnny Reb wargaming scenario for Wrightsville was published in the scenario book Crossed Sabers: Scenarios from the Gettysburg Campaign, which is available from the Johnny Reb Gaming Society (whose logo is featured on the polo shirt I am wearing in the video). |

Thanks for posting Scott, I didn't know much about the battle other than the bridge got burned. I used to live just outside of Wrightsville and learning about local history is fun so I'll have to get your book. |

The book is currently on sale through the Christmas season for $20 USD for an autographed first edition copy. That is 20% off the cover price. |
