I recently traded for some of their ACW figures and think they're excellent.

I read somewhere that they had a sale last year around holiday time.

Does anyone know whether the sale is an annual thing or was just a one off event? Thanks.

I'm not aware of a sale, but they have convention deals.

I talked with Chris about that at Historicon and he said they will certainly do sales here and there, but if they were to make it regular scheduled event he felt it would adversely affect their overall sales since people would simply wait to buy until they could get the big discount. I can see how that would be so, especially at the unbelievable 50% off they did before.

Yes there figures are excllent.
They fit in very well with the Old Glory 2nd Edition ACW too. And the Perry ACW in my opinion.

They should, as Chris sculpted both lines! 8)=

Check Warweb they have sales on Sash and Saber from time to time. I don't know if they have a scheduled sale though.

Warweb had to drop the S&S line, couldn't get it wholesale anymore. Hopefully Sash & Saber will alert us if they have one going on.

You know, it's odd. I have some of the OG 2nd Edition too.

I don't really think they look that similar. While I like the OG price (I'm an OG army member) I think the S&S are clearly better. Much sharper faces, equipment, etc.

Are we talking 25mm or 40mm or BOTH!

CPBelt26 Oct 2009 4:34 p.m. PST

If they had a sale today like they did last year, I'd drop a couple hundred on them!

Old Glory casts the Sash & Sabre miniatures. Whether Chris sculpted both lines, I can't say, but OG does the casting for S&S.

Sash and Saber does sales at conventions (HMGS-East) I think buy five get the sixth pack free. Sadly I am not attending these days so I am SOL.

IMHO they are already priced very reasonably for most budgets compared to some other lines. But sales can be nice too!

I can, as I know Chris and have asked him. He did both.

Warweb doesn't have much of a selection of S&S. Thats the first place I went last week, but they didn't have any of the boxed sets I wanted,so I ordered straight from Chris.
