Howard Whitehouse is working on a WW 2 low-level combat rules system which seems from his descriptions to be very much in line with his other stuff (Science vs. Pluck, Astounding Tales, etc.). He playtested it at Historicon two years ago but I haven't heard much since then. I don't think Howard ever truely gives up on a project, but he has so many irons in the fire that some projects appear to sometimes languish for substantial periods. Dennis |

We are releasing a set of pulp skirmish rules (called Where Heroes Dare) with rules for heroes (and villains), super tech (such as robots of all kinds), strange powers, and other pulpy goodness that will mesh perfectly with our current WWII system Disposable Heroes. Will be released at Fall In in a couple of weeks. Some teaser info here: doctormerkury.blogspot.com Keith |

Depends what you are looking for. If you just want to set up skirmish fights of 10 or more figures per side any of those mentioned will be great. If you want a continuous plot driven story where you solve clues, etc. that leads to a Final Scene where you confront the villain then Larger Than Life works perfect. Also has about ten People Lists covering a wide variety of folks. link But if you only want to do a shoot'em up try Chain reaction 3.0 for free. link |

I'm looking forward to the new Where Heroes Dare rules for my James Bond adventures and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang figures. Shaken not stirred, there's a good fellow. |

I found 1-48 Combat, which is FREE, to be brilliantly simple. It pits 2 squads of six, one German and one Soviet, against each other in the ruins of Stalingrad. It does a better job than any game I've played of demonstrateing the respective strengths and weaknesses of rifles, SMGs and MGs without being cumbersome. Rules for aiming, overwatch, suppression fire and grenades are included. Here's the link: 1-48combat.com/rules.htm |

West Wind game's Secrets Of The Third Reich would seem to fit your bill perfectly, rules for robots, zombies, and magic, with nice, fast rules to boot. link |

Battleground WWII works well and is flexible. To Be Continued By GASLIGHT is good for pulp games also. |
