Can anyone suggest a reasonable set of solitaire rules ? I'm looking for something not to complex which does not rely on a computer, so I can put the models on the table (1:3000 scale). Thanks

I do not use specific "solitaire" rules. It is quite possible to play any normal rules solo. I do it all the time.

Mike's correct, most sets of rules can be played solo quite easily.

Might want to take a look at Naval Thunder: Clash of Dreadnoughts. Plays quickly and the basic game is very easy to learn and really *feels* like a naval game. There's quite a bit of excitement to be had just with the basic game.

If you want to increase the detail level, there are plenty of cool options you can pick and choose from to customize the level of detail to your personal preference.

Best of all, its extremely affordable. Only $12.95 USD for the WWI rules.

I haven't tried them myself. As already mentioned, once the task forces have met at sea, solo play is relatively straightforward. Solo campaigning, i.e. movements before contact, is a bit different.
