Happy Birthday to Nic Robson of Eureka. A real gentleman of the hobby.

GoodBye23 Oct 2009 7:52 p.m. PST

Ahhh Happy Birthday Nic.

My children just look at me and ask me: "Why daddy, why? All the other kids parents have money for shoes."

I tell them it's because a special man owns daddies inability to restrain himself.

Happy Birthday Nic!

Definitely agree with Mal – here's to an exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and helpful gent, one of the best in the business.

Cheers,
Paul.

Happy Birthday Nic.

Of course you all realise that by commemorating his birthday, you will make him older. Haven't you all noticed that he doesn't seem to age & doesn't announce his age or birthday.

Now you know the reason why – no birthday, no ageing ;-)

Mal Wright Fezian23 Oct 2009 11:46 p.m. PST

Haven't you all noticed that he doesn't seem to age

Yes. Curse his eyes! He never ages like the rest of us.

I remember Nic as if I was only talking to him yesterday. But then again, I was only talking to him yesterday. Well done, Mr Robson. I blame your parents' self-indulgence.

Lee Brilleaux Fezian24 Oct 2009 5:36 a.m. PST

I had assumed that Nic was immune to aging, and had looked just as bad when he was a wee tyke in Yorkshire.

I could be wrong, of course.

Happy birthday, Nic!

Why is this thread on the Victorian SciFi board and the Ancients board? How old is Nic, anyway??

Good Bye24 Oct 2009 7:15 a.m. PST

Have a great B-day, Nic! As my fellow clansman, I'll raise a dram in your honor.

Anybody make a Nic Robson miniature?

Mal Wright Fezian25 Oct 2009 3:29 a.m. PST

Why is this thread on the Victorian SciFi board and the Ancients board?

Victorian SciFi because he does great figures for it.

Ancients board….ummmm…..that's because I sort of…ummmm…..pressed the…..errr….wrong one!

Mal Wright Fezian25 Oct 2009 3:30 a.m. PST

How old is Nic, anyway??

I think he's probably an immortal. He just doesn't show it. grin

gavandjosh0225 Oct 2009 4:43 a.m. PST

Wingnut – I have the one and only figure sculptured by Nic which has been painted and is amongst my celtic army. It does look a wee bit like him.

Ladies and Gents,
Thank you one and all for your very kind words. I can happily say I am younger than Asterix the Gaul.

Rich Knapton26 Oct 2009 1:09 p.m. PST

There is a reason Nic doesn't seem to age. He has a special miniature in his attic that ages for him. I'm given to understand that that figure is one old ugly miniature. grin

Happy birthday Nic.

he's been a blessing for gaming in OZ and Melbourne in Particular.

many happy returns, (tax and otherwise!)

The Sentient Bean28 Oct 2009 5:30 a.m. PST

A tad late on the lovefest but there was a write up on Nic's bunch in Battlegames recently. Good read!

Happy returns!

J Womack 9431 Oct 2009 8:27 a.m. PST

Well, it's a bit belated, but the boys and I also wish you a happy birthday. Probably don't remember us, but we met at Historicon this past summer and the boys bought a goodly number of your evil frogs.

The reason he doesn't seem to age, I would surmise, is the high metal content in his bloodstream from constant contact with miniatures. Preservative effect.

Khusrau07 Nov 2009 1:01 a.m. PST

Belatedly – Happy Birthday Nic, Denise was here for mine on the 2nd. Happy beers, and I think you still owe me an army for my pants… ;-)
