Need information on the Household troops of Louis XIII,

The King was the Captain

and their was a Sous Captain

so how many officers were there?

did they have a company doctor?

In Paris did they only guarde the king or did they have other duties?

thanks Lord Ghee

According to this bastion.free.fr/maison.htm in french

The Household troops were divided in two types :

*Guard of the inner Louvre (Garde du dedans du Louvre) with

The Bodyguards (Gardes du corps),
The Hundred Swiss (Les cent-suisses),
The Door Guards (Gardes de la porte),
The Inner Police Guards (Gardes de la prévôté).

*Guard of Outer Louvre (Garde du dehors du Louvre)

The Men-at-Arms (Gendarmes),
The Light Horses (chevau-légers),
The Musketeers of the Guard (Mousquetaires de la Garde),
The Mounted Grenadiers (Grenadiers à cheval).
