Fellas, having just finished Simons brigade for Bussaco I am about to start painting Ferreys brigade. With my limited resources I have been unable to find any uniform details for this brigade comprising 32 leger, 66 de ligne and 82 de ligne.
Does anyone have any information on-cuffs,greanadier,voltigeur and drummer distinctions for these 3 regiments. I would be particuarily intrested in any information on the colour of drummers lapels.
I prefer not to paint my units as generic french so any info would be usefull.
Thanks in advance.

Boisselier shows a rather battered looking grenadier of the 82e ligne 1811-1812 as follows.
--- black colpak (not tall bearskin), no decoration or chinstraps
--- a sort of white or very light gray long coat, similar in cut to a greatcoat, single row of yellow buttons, red collar, red epaulets
--- white leatherwork
--- blue pantalons
--- light brown Spanish sandal-shoes with ties that wrap around the the ankles and half way up the calf on the outside of the pant legs, no socks or footwraps

Years ago (1970's) I determined to do units of 36 figures per French battlion (now generally 24 figures) where I had some specific uniform information. I chose the Peninsular War, I Corp; II Corp; and IV Corp. Then I found out the "pickings were slim" on regimental details.

I now have a composite division of I Corps with one Battalion each of 9eme Leger (yellow cuff flaps for volt; Dutch style gaiters pointed front and rear); 24eme de Ligne – Voltigeur plumage, and drummer lapels; and 96eme de ligne -crimson drummer lapels; 8eme de Ligne (no figures, but eagle party is unique); 45eme (doing a la Waterloo with eagle and flag); and 63eme de Ligne – aurora lapels, shoulder "nests" on drummer. I'm also using the 88th in sleeved waistcoat, covered shako, balloon

I could not find anything on the regiments you picked for II corps. I chose 2eme leger after Rousselot; 33eme de Ligne (which did NOT serve, but I use for 36th – artistic license) Paris Guard in Green uniforms; 26eme de Ligne – drummer with scarlet lapels; sapeur with colpak; grenadiers with shako, all with long white leggings; 17eme leger – drum major in yellow coat faced crimson, wearing Polish Czapka; and (no figures yet) Legion du Midi.

You might consider the Waterloo era for line infantry drummers, but the 32eme leger did not exist then.

I like to mix full dress, with battle dress, with 1806 white uniforms and 1815 Bardin regulations, so the flag for 1815 helps identify the Bardin's, and maybe a drummer in blue coat with the King's livery for a specific unit.

Thanks chaps,
as I feared there seems to be little info on the uniforms of these regiments.
Frayer, thank you for the description of the Boisselier plate, intresting that the grenadier is pictured in a colpack.
I may as you suggest GdeP, substitute a different brigade perhaps one from II corps 1st Division. Which was my original choice till I was taken with the unusual uniforms of the Legion Du Midi and Legion Hanovarian.
