This Sunday is the annual Group North Open Day here in South Australia.

I missed last year after a bad fall and couldn't walk for nearly six weeks. The year before I only managed a quick visit due to a bad dose of the Flu.

But this year I am determined to make it.

I will have the QRF stock there. This will be the last chance for anyone to pick some of it up as it will be returning it to the UK. Lugging all that lead around is just too much these days, so please help lighten the load.

There will also be some games from CLASH OF ARMS there as well.

The demonstration game Baldrick and I will be presenting will be THE SHANGHAI INCIDENT. This took place in 1932 after the Japanese carried out a reprisal attack in response to a Chinese mob attacking some Shinto Monks. It was of course only a pretext, as the Japanese Navy were miffed that the Army were getting all the publicity up in Manchuria and decided to grab some headlines themselves, for a tough stance. It all came rather unstuck in the narrow streets and alleys.

Because of the intensely built up area, the playing table is quite small, only being some of the streets and the harbour. But is none the less quite colourful.

If you live in Adelaide, please come along and help support Group North in their annual event

Photographs of the terrain soon. Plus the large Japanese gunboat I built in 15mm. The harbour looked like it needed one to go with the various Chinese Junks and Sampans.

I am running a second hand stall at the Group North Open Day. All items at the stall have been donated and all money from the sales goes to the club.

The donors have been generous and the goodies are priced to sell!

Any and all wargamers in South Australia are welcome to visit, browse the second hand stall and the trade stalls, plus join in the various games on offer.
