Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have received an enquiry from a gentleman in the St Pauls area who is looking for advice and help to start figure collecting and gaming for himself and his son.
Can anyone point me in the direction of local shops or Clubs?
He is especially interested in the AWI.

Thank you in advance,

There are a few good shops in Portland, the best (and only for historicals as far as I know) would be Bridgetown Hobbies. If he is interested in FOW at all there is a Borderlands in Salem, no other historicals. Eugene has a gaming club, but that is kind of a drive from St. Paul. The Northwest Historical Miniature Gaming Society website ( nhmgs.org ) has some good info, their annual convention over Memorial Day weekend is up in Tacoma and is worth the drive.

That's only about 45 minutes away from me. He can drop me an email if he would like. I have a small collection and a copy of British Grenadier.

There is also the Emerald Valley Group. There are a lot of folks on this Yahoo group but not a lot of gaming despite the numbers.

NJH: Enfilade the NHMGS convention is now in Olympia, WA. That's about 30 minutes South of Tacoma on I-5, and closer to Portland, OR.
