Just curious as to whether anyone is gaming with Eureka's unicyle lancers, tricycle mounted machine guns, the Prussian guys with the rotors, etc. I've kind of got the urge to just do something silly. Maybe mix in some Flintloque Dog Soldiers and Old Glory Dwarf Colonials

I ran a game using the Unicycles and armored Tricycles (and a bunch of kit-bashed VSF vehicles) in the hills of the Beaujolais region of France. Everybody now knows about the health benefits of red wine, but back then did you know it was the only known antedote to a disease afflicting the British Royal Family? It was a simple "Raid & Return" game, but a lot of silliness can be had with the vehicles with the predicaments players can place them. |

I did give it some thought but I could not justify the speed needed to be obtained on a uni-cycle or bicycle in order to make lance work impact possible. I use my bikes and unicycles for my mounted dragoons. It makes for easier logical justification. |

Let the madness take hold!! The first VSF miniatures I bought was Pig Tickler, in itself not a bad game.Since then I have been buying up lots of victorian goodies and recently got myself organised to paint them up. I hope to post some pics of some miniatures I am finishing off tonight on my blog later. I think there at least three types of VSF, the first is basically 19c games with a few steam tanks and aerial devices thrown in ,the next gets a bit more unlikely with unicycle lancers and invasions of mars, and then there is using dog soldiers and dwarfs and those french anteaters that Eureka sell. I have bought into the first two not the last yet , but I expect its only a matter of time. The nice thing about VSF is you can build and game some historical armies but then by adding a few steam contraptions you can go anywahere your mind wants to take you. The main thing is have fun though! cheers Mors PS If you see a can of your wifes hairspray and start thinking what a good turret the lid would make, you are into VSF |
