Hi all, I am about to start a new Zulu wars project and have been looking into good quality supplers of 15mm miniatures. So far I have been impressed by Peter pig, Old glory 15's and Essex. Do you know of any other manufacturers of note worth taking a look at? Cheers Chris |

Musket Miniatures has a selection of 15mm British Colonial and Zulus, including a nice model of the Rorke's Drift buildings and compound. musketminiatures.com Larry |

Those that Jim at Musket carries if from us at GFI/Minifigs. They did the georgous Roark's Drift set for our figures years ago! IMHO, still the best in any scale! Tom Dye GFI |

I don't know if they are still available but Gladiator made zulu's at one point. I wasn't fond of the average troops but the command pack and the casualties were nice. You can see pics of my 15mm colonials here. link |

I like Irregulars 15mm Zulus, over twenty variants and some good posing. Nic EUREKA MINIATURES |

Thanks guys and thanks to "leidang" for sharing your pics with me. What rules are you guys using for this period? Cheers Chris |

Been looking into the ranges you guys suggested. Leidang; I see what you mean about the command and dead figures that Gladiator make. Much more interesting than the warriors. This range has now been picked up by BlackHat games BTW. Does anyone have or know of any pics of the Musket miniatures range? Thanks again. Chris |

You can't go far wrong with any of the figures mentioned here. You might also consider bulking out your impi's with Lancashire games Zulus. These are not state of the art but are perfectly serviceable against the others and if bought in the big bags are dirt cheap. |

Leidang: what manufacturers did you use for your British artillery (both 7lbers, rockets & crews)? Also, what manufacturer are your rank & file Zulus? Thanks! |

My british line are Essex (They are the only troops I bought painted). The British artillery, rocket battery (Deployed), and most of the Natal troops are old glory. The limbered rocket battery on the mule, the natal pioneers, and the British tents are scratch built or modified from other figures. Also not pictured I ironically used Dismounted confederate cavalry figures for dismounted Natal Native contingent. I just had to remove the cavalry saber. My pictured Zulus are a mix of Old Glory and Essex. Those with 2 lines of "stiching on the shield are old glory. 1 line of "stiching" are essex. The Zulu command stand figures are Gladiator (Now Black Hat). I also have a few Impi of old Heritage Zulus that are not pictured. I believe they are OOP and to be honest that is probably for the best. I like Fields of Honor for smaller games but for big con games I use a modified version of Fire & Fury. |

I love the Musket and Stone Mountain Colonials. The Zulus have single cast shields on the man. One company I like which is now maybe scheduled for re-lease are the Houston box set Zulus. Maybe the Virtual Armchair General plans to release them. Fantastic personality castings for the Officers and NCOs, even the dog! |

Lancashire Miniatures Zulus are very clean, very nice
and the shields are cast on! Oh, if I had only known of them before I fiddled with the Old Glory shields
which I am still re-glueing all the time
The Lancashire minis are cast without regalia, so they are in battle gear. I second all the recommendations for the Stone Mountain British. And please look at Peter Pig. There are many British figures in the Sudan range which will serve quite well against the Zulus (the naval troops are especially wonderful), and Martin is one of the nicest and hardest-working chaps in the miniatures business.
