This painting service got ahold of a bunch of Black Tree WWII figs and decided they're all 'Germans with Heavy Weapons': auction Comment: Painting Black Tree US bazooka team in what you think are 'German colors' don't make them Germans! auction Comment: The one on the left is a BTD American with BAR, and the one on the right is a Russian with Ppsh41. auction Comment: The Russian on the left has Ppsh41 'Heavy Weapon'; the one on the right has a Moisin-Nagant 'Heavy Weapon.' Let's give it one more try: auction Doh! |

Pro means someone was willing to pay for something the person made at one time. Even one cent could meet the definition. That doesn't mean pro equates to "good", as you and others have pointed out nicely. Let the buyer beware

Ebay descriptions are often -well, not quite accurate. The number of times I've seen Garrison figures that are in current production being listed as rare, hard to get, OOP – actually, it's most Garrison figures that appear. |

Well if it was a Chinese seller you could understand it as all we Westerners look alike!

Pro-painted
not pro-researched
Of course, I've seen captions in books that incorrectly describe the picture as well – Like the pic of amtracks in Storm Over the Gilberts described as dukws. Or another in a book tracing the Normandy invasion through maps that shows a Mk IV and describes it as a Panther, IIRC. |

I knew a blind alcoholic monkey named Pro once. Maybe that's his work? |

Ignoring the inaccuracy of the models for just a moment, am I reading that right? Prices ranging from $21 USD to $37, plus $10 USD shipping, for two (2) figures? |

Of course they are "heavy weapons" Did you ever try to hold one at arm's length? I've been pricin' my stuff too cheap. |

I painted Airfix British Paras as Fallschirmjager, as there was nothing else available at the time. Those figs are certainly pricey aren't they, painted by an ex-banker missing his bonus? |

He missed out on the TARP and stimulus funding, |

Martin – the Airfix Brit Paras didn't really look like Brit Paras to start with though

"Every area has been carefully painted to a high standard with no metallic paints used." Notice that some of the fantasy figs among the some 1,700 figures for sale are listed as done my a Master Painter. I wonder who conferred that title. More, I wonder who buys the "historical" figs at plus $20 USD each. |

I think he misunderstood the 'cash for clunkers' thing. Anybody inform the gent of his errors? That's really bad. |

I thought this board was for showing off battle reports and miniatures not promoting eBay auctions but I could be wrong |
