This is my second favourite Gloranthan stand (after my Crimson Bat model). Sometimes a model thrown together in a half hour or so just… works.

Hah! yes, excellent, and very much in the spirit of Runequest.

Hmmm… a dinosaur in a pink hat, with glasses. I have to rethink "dinosaur" now…

Excellent as usual, Simon!

I keep forgetting to ask, on your Lunar Battle Mage stand, what are the Lunes "in real life"? What did you make them out of? They're perfect for that role, whatever they are.

Hi, the Lunes are… wooden beads.

I stuck a long metal pin into the hole through the bead, and covered the bead with greenstuff. Whilst still malleable, I carved swirling patterns into this with a pin. Base coat Scab red, highlights with vermillion and an ink wash; sorted! They were about 30 minutes work, the pair.

I have another slighly more elaborate lunar stand, with the same effect on it; will show it late this week.

Cheers, Simon

Cool, I'll have to give that a shot. It's an excellent effect.

Wow, you have some great stuff on there. I love the dino's glasses! But my favourite is the hero at the top of the page. Very nice!

Thanks Garnham. I have a couple more Gloranthan bits left, watch this space!

Cheers, Simon
