My sample pack of Baccus 6mm WSS troops has just arrived, and blimey, they're nice! Very detailed for something so small.

One of the first things that I noticed was that mould lines at this scale are almost invisible, they're there if you look for them but nowhere near as prominent as in 28mm, which is good as mould lines are my *bane*.

The standard looks like it might be a bit fragile but it would be trivial to replace it with some paper-clip wire.

They still have to pass the paint test, and if that goes well I wouldn't have any doubts about getting more.

Even blocking the colors in, the figures look great!

Being a poor student type I really like the idea that a reasonably sized force of about 20 or so bases is dead cheap but also won't take up anywhere near the room, *and* I have a reasonable chance of finishing because I don't need to be über picky over small details.

But of course I still have to paint the blighters…

I've got to say that Baccus is EVIL I tell ya…….

Great figures
Great service
Great support

Must resist the Sudan range….(Well at least until I've finished my current 6mm Napoleonics, SYW and Zulu armies)

Keep up the great work Peter and all at Baccus

If you're replacing 6mil banners then I would consider plastic brush bristles instead of metal. They spring rather than bend.

I replaced my banner poles with piano wire. At only around 12mm long, you'd pretty much have to use pliers to bend it!

Yas, and I ordered a SYW sample pack from Baccus a while back. I was very pleased with the minis and service, though I am unsure when I'll ever get a project off the ground.

Peter's minis and service are top shelf! I just received my ancient minis and they are beautiful. And contrary to what may be thought, 6mm paints up quite easily and look great on the table.
