Is there a good color pictorial source for the uniforms of Japanese Naval crews from 1935-1945? |

This might do the trick, however, all text is in Japanese. The English translation is limited to some captions and chapter headings. But the color photos are pretty self explanatory for the most part. Note that the book covers 1860 onward. WWII Navy uniform chapter starts page 146, and some chapters include both Army and Navy uniform parts.
