I am seeking to game the army of Pyrrhuss and wondered what miniatures people would recommend..? |

Foundry, Crusader, Gripping Beast, and A&A Miniatures come to mind. This is a pretty good article on the subject: link BTW, I'm slowly working on the exact same. |

Me too. Allen Curtis and others provided some excellent responses when I asked the question earlier: TMP link Cheers, Paul. |

Thank you, Paul. I was just going to go look for that thread when your post appeared. There is (was) also Bronze Goat for more Greek-looking (not Italian-looking) hoplites; I wish those would go back into production. However, the only ones I ever got were unarmored; the WAB Pyrrhic list does not offer that option. Hopefully, Mr. AncientBattles will also have some suggestions. Jeff? So I would go with Crusader Campanian hoplites or Gripping Beast Italian Ally hoplites primarily, depending on what size figures you wanted to match. Foundry and Gorgon can add to the mix, used with Crusader, as they're larger figures. Also, Teresa at Old Glory 25s kindly informed me that the Crusader separate heads are available, well, separately; those could be used to "Italianize" Greek-looking figures for a more south Italian look, for those with an inclination to conversion. (I need to get some

Aventine will be doing some Pyrrhic figures, soon, I gather. Simon |

Thanks again for the recommendations, Allen – ended up getting a few Crusader regimental packs (mix of armoured and unarmoured Samnites as well as some Oscan cavalry) – lovely figures. Also picked up the MM Samnite general and standard bearer, as well as some Oscan javelinmen. Not a single broken helmet feather! Can just seen this lot forming the basis of a new army in the next year or so :) Cheers, Paul. |

I offer a range of Greek Hoplites in more of a heavily armored format. Also with interchangeable heads and a variety of helmet configurations. I offer front and rear rank (at the ready and at rest) in a variety of poses as well. Check out my website at battlestandardminiatures dot com
At $1.50 USD per foot for 28mm, these are some of the most affordable 28's on the market!!! |

Without images, Lou, it's hard to tell if they're suitable for Tarentine or Italiote hoplites. Armor is less of a problem, but what kind of helmets are available? Thanks, Allen |

From the photos that there are, those Battlestandard hoplites look just the ticket for Tarentine citizens (and similar in heft and style to the Bronze Goat Greeks.) Does anyone bring these to the UK? |

Those Battle Standard minis are rather nice. Size wise will they fit with Foundry or are they larger? |

Jeff Jonas reviews some of the Persians here: link Assuming Battlestandard Greeks and Macedonians are on par, they would probably match reasonably well size-wise with Foundry 'World of the Greeks'. Cheers, Paul. |
