Well, it has been a while since I posted What I am jonseing for. In 15mm that is, because the list is far longer if I don't limit it. With that, I want to thank everybody producing in 15mm all the new stuff being put out every month is actually beyond my average months Gaming/miniatures budget (Hurray for me at least). So here it is. Character figures, Human, Alien, etc
. What would be really great would be character packs kinda like PeterPig does in the Wild West and AK47 ranges. but for SF, a character in a environment suit, "street" clothes, and sitting. Though just non-military one offs would be nice also. Though I can't stress that Aliens portion enough. Mixed Alien and Human Military units, I have got that entire Alien Legion thing in the back of my head. Civilian vehicles, Wheeled, hover, grav, the whole works. My city-scapes need some vehicular clutter. Along side the vehicles some street furniture and more building accessories (Jon @ GZGs has done some great stuff, but more is always better) Starship and building interiors stuff would be great too. Chairs, couches, lockers, consoles and the like. With the re-release of SpaceHulk the urge to build interiors for 15mm has been high (Ok, I am working on Asteroid base geomorphs [Think the old DnD dungeon Geomorphs] and while they are going together fabulously, the geeblies are the weak spot. [read time consuming]). Starship/dropship external bits, Hatches, turrets, Landing Gear, you name it. That is my current list of wishes/obsessions, what are y'all's? |

Sadly, there aren't any ship's crews in Sci-Fi outfits, e.g. form-fitting, or modern clothing, think: UFO Moonbase girls UFO base crewmen/women – their outfits look like comfortable sweat suits, without collars Star Trek uniforms for the various generations (original is my favorite for the humans), as well as Klingon and Romulan uniforms Space 1999 – again the comfortable sweats uniform – collarless, if I recall correcty. Some of the above, standing, walking, seated, and using weapons would be nice. |

Proper ranges of figures rather than the usual "one officer, one LSW, three troopers". |

the only ship crew figs I can think of in 15MM is the metal ones for the battlestations board game (availible seperately) |

Man, see there is a bunch I totally forgot
And me doing "Moonbase" appropriate terrain. So Add Top Gun Ace's to my list with a healthy order of Alien's

The GZG figs just look too much like today's civvies, in overalls, jeans, etc. Heck, some are even sporting ball caps, or cowboy hats. Would like to see some more futuristic looking figs myself. |

Define Futuristic? Or How much fashion drift do you need to make you happy? I ask this because fashion really hasn't changed much overt the last 100 years, and the trousers and shirt combo of your typical inhabitant of the west is spreading. It is displacing "Native" dress in many developing counties. I am not saying there won't be a revolution in fashion, just the trend seems to be more of the same

Being a "beanie with a sunshade", the proverbial baseball cap is just that: Proverbial. Unless a social change comes along that makes them so socially unacceptable that they vanish (probably along with the game of baseball), or civilization collapses (which might be what it takes to wipe out baseball), this simple headgear is likely to be around for a long time. |

| MiniatureReview | 10 Oct 2009 3:36 p.m. PST |
Space Dwarfs are being sculpted. picture I want some Star Wars type figures with light sabers or power sabers or what ever. Something along the lines of what MudPuppy Games had. |

Those look okay CC. I was thinking uniforms from the Gerry Anderson TV show, UFO, e.g. Moonbase girls, Interceptor pilots, Skydiver crews, and SHADO Control personnel: link The uniforms from Space 1999 were pretty good too: link The latest "Infiltrator" poses work, in terms of clothing styling (form fitting), but they need to be without helmets, and a mix of handguns, some type of longer barreled two-handed weapons (laser rifles, blasters, etc.), no weapons, and seated personnel. |

I suppose I should ask around the historicals forum
but are there any medieval or rennaissance clothes? That kind of intricate garb is indicative of a relentless pursuit of social status and leisure-- just like you'd find in a highly automated society. |

Currently there seems to be quite a lot of good far future SF stuff out there in 15mm. I would love to see some more stuff that could fill the Near Future roll in 15mm. Some of the GZG's wheeled and tracked vehicles fit the bill. Wish there was more though. Particularly tanks, AFV's, and ground attack aircraft. |
