I picked up some of Scheltrum Miniatures' new Atlanteans at their stall at SALUTE last spring. Strangly they're still not advertised on their web site. Any one else seen these?

They're wearing aquatic/Greek hoplite themed diving costumes; fish fined Corinthian helmets, shell shaped oxygen tanks etc. Armed with tridents and crossbows.

They're 25mm rather than 28mm, and a bit stocky but otherwise very nice. A good addition to their existing deep sea diver range.

Unfortunately I don't have camera so can't share any pictures.

Hmmm, I'd like to see them if you ever get pictures of 'em. Dean

I have a few of them, as yet not painted, picked up at Claymore. I can photograph them unmade-up tomorrow if there is interest. I haven't the light just now to do it.

Same here! They sound intriguing.

The pictures of the ones that I have. No work of any type has been done on them so this is as they come out of the blister, mould lines flash and all.

Any suggestions as to a colour scheme? I'm suffering from a painters block with them.

x42:

Thanks for the pics – the figures look good; nice detail on the tridents & tanks.

As far as colors – besides the metals for the armor (some silver, some gold – as they don't rust?); I'd go for blues & greens (emerald green?). I'd go for colors that look "oceaney" and cool (as in temperature).

Best wishes on the project – and hope you post pics of the finished product. Dean

The are three packs of four, including a pack of crossbowmen; each pack in a different uniform, but still Greek themed.

I painted mine as DeanMoto suggested above. They look OK but in hindsight I wish I'd left the green and gold out and just gone with silver, white and light blue.

That would give them a very "high civilisation" look.
