Hi folks! Some of you may know that I recently moved to the UK for my final university year. In September, I visited Wargames Foundry on their open day and (apart from some colonial stuff) bought a set of their ABC Warriors figures which I always considered too expensive to order (and no store ever stocked them, probably too specific a subject). Anyway, here´s the set painted (minus the "small" Hammerstein which I didn´t purchase due to a personal dislike of the sculpt) plus a Mongrol model I sculpted from Milliput and MagicSculp. Although I´ve been assured it is actually acceptable, I´m still not really happy with it and will do another based on an AT-43 Karman (once I get a suitable model). Hammerstein: picture Deadlock: picture Joe Pineapples: picture Blackblood: picture Mek-Quake: picture Morrigun: picture Ro-Jaws: picture Mongrol: picture As said, I´ll do the "Mk2 Mongrol" once I get a suitable base model, followed by a Happy Shrapnel probably based on a Necron Warrior). A Killdozer Mek-Quake is planned for an unspecified later date. This is a bit "low priority", though, since I´ll probably have the rest of the project develop along the lines of the "Return to Mars" story cycle (i.e. as collected in the "The Third Element" and "The Shadow Warriors" books), with some "simple but nice-looking" cardboard terrain. All not too space-consuming since it´ll have to move with me next year. I do want to do some Neo-Sovs (Copplestone in all probability) as Volgans, though, if I can get them at Fiasco; therefore, a "Volgan War Branch-off" is not at all unlikely. |

Nice work, including Mongrol. Looking forward to the Killdozer Mek-Quake, too. |

Wow, prohibition must be really bad in the future to require "Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC)" to require and field "Warriors". |

Have been working (glacially slowly) on something similar myself. I have all of those foundry figures (in the lead pile) and I too was thinking of an AT43 Karman for mongrel with some modifications. Link to my blog with mongrel discussion. link |

I really like your Mongrol model. I actually thought it was one of theirs. |

ABC Warriors are from the british 2000AD comic series that's more famous for Judge Dredd. link |

One of the best series ever run by 2000AD, good work on Mongrel! |

LAAAARAAAA!!!!! Cool Mongrel, very inspiring – I think I'll follow your lead and sculpt my own Mongrel to complete my ABC lineup. |

The Foundry figures are much nicer than the original Citadel set. |

Some update: I got myself a bunch of Copplestone Neo-Soviets, scraped off the stars and painted them as human Volgan troops. I also got myself a BMP-3 APC (from Imprint Models) to act as a Volgan troop carrier. Volgan Infantry #1: picture Volgan Infantry #2: picture Volgan APC: picture I´ve finished another 5 Volgans since I took the above pics, and three KKBB KGB agents to act as plainclothes Volgan Secret Police operatives. Hope to take some pics this weekend. |

2000AD, now there's plenty of gaming fodder there. The Ballad of Halo Jones was one of my faves. |
