I was wondering if any one knew if the transfers from Little Big Man for the Gripping Beast EIR Roman shields (28mm) would fit on the Old Glory 2nd century EIR Romans {25mm)?

I thinking from what I've read they might be a little bigger.

I'm looking for some nice transfers for the OG Romans, Oval and rectangular shields in 25mm.

Thank's
Coabeous

Not sure about the size fit but there's always VVV too. Are you pleased with the OG Romans? I have been thinking about diving in with them to replace the BTD I started.

I do know that the VVV decals are a bit too big for the Gripping Beast EIR's.

Larry R,
Yes, I am very happy with my OG Romans.
What did you use on your BTD shields?
Are BTD the same size as OG?

Coabeous. I used LBM shield designs for my BTD which they make them for. Unfortunately BTD are bigger than OG. It's to hard to get BTD so I am looking for a replacement to finish my legions. OG seems like the best bet for me now here in the US.

E-mail Steve at LBM. He's a great guy and will answer your questions.

Larry, the only EIR minis in the same generous size as BTD are the Steve Saleh (as opposed to the Perry) Foundry range.

I should imagine that OG are going to be a lot smaller.

thanks Simon. So when I order or buy from a vendor the Saleh Foundry EIR, how do I tell them apart from the other Foundry EIR?

The Saleh EIR all have cast-on shields. There are essentially only 8 poses:-

They are relatively easy to identify if the photo is OK. They take the same shield transfers as the other Foundry minis. The Foundry Caesarian Centurions and standard bearers make good command figures.

Here are some painted Legionaries:-

And here are some Foundry Saleh Auxilia, mixed with BTD:-

Last thought; the Crusader Rank and File EIRs are pretty well the same size as Foundry Salehs. They do only a single legionary pose, but would be cheap to buy if you are an OG army member. Their Centurion is very nice.

The people on here are all correct. My old Glory Early Imperial Romans which I did ten years ago have VVV decals on them and they still look Great. Steve hale of LBMS is a great guy and if you write to him will offer you suggestions, if he does not have the specific product.

Thanks for your help Simon. When I go to Fall In in November I will look for those Foundry and the Crusader Rank and File. I appreciate the input.
