There are some great color pics of Chinese military vehicles and soldier from the recent National Day Parade. Of course Wired Magazine focused in on the pink clad militia women, but there are some other cool photos there too. link link |

Well I doubt that all of those Milita ladies are in the milita but one thing is that they are cute. Nothing beats pic's of ladies carrying automatic machineguns. Oh, and the ones in the regular uniforms are also cute. |

Interesting digital camo on the vehicles… And another article I read recently about the parade was that the Chinese Govt. actually hired lots of pretty runway style models for the parade because many of the girls in the real military weren't "pretty enough" for the cameras… |

The pink ladies got everyone's attention. What most people missed was the 169 steps march pass. Why 169? It was 169 years ago China lost the First Opium War. It was downhill since for the Chinese until Mao unified the country in 1949 and Deng sends it on the path of economic recovery in 1979. China was sending a message to the world.Things are going to be very different from this year on. |
