I painted my first figures of the period. These are miniatures from Wargames Foundry. The unit is the 109e Regiment de Ligne (formally Royal Regiment de Martinique Guadeloupe). link
The pockets aren't correct for the regiment had horizontal ones and the minis have unfortunately vertical ones. Olivier |

Now that is a French uniform you don't see every day – good to see French infantry in something other than a blue tunic and shako Nice work and thanks for sharing |

Great looking unit! I especially like a couple bicorns mixed in. Any information on where the 109eme fought? The facings are most unusual. They could pass for "Gosling Green" as worn by the British 5th Foot, Northumberland. A modern olive green camouflage color at that! Do you know what the color is called in French? GdeP |

The 109e Regiment was in the Army of the coasts of La Rochelle in 1793. The Regiment was in Nantes during the uprising of the Vendée. The regiment fought the great catholic and royal army in Cholet on the 17th of October, 1793. In 1794, the regiment joined the Army of Moselle. For the colours, I don't have more information link |

In the regulation of 1792 the facing for 109e de ligne is given VERT CLAIR on lapels and cuffs while collar and cuff flaps were white, the bttons of brass and the pockets horizontal (travers) |
