A TMP Search reveals nothing, but I could be spelling it wrong. Has anyone run across any 25mm scale figures suitable for painting as Oompah Loompahs from Willy Wonka's world? |

I doubt it, I think you may end up having to convert some halfling figures. |

Were you watching Willy Wonka last night on the Family Channel? I was. ; )
and sorry I have no ideas for this one. |

I have to believe this topic has come up before; I can't be the only person to be struck by the idea of a battalion of evil Oompah Loompahs under the mind-control of a deranged candyman. Who has previous experience in finding or modifying these little imps? |

Studies do (claim to) show that candy consumption at a young age causes greater rates of crime and recidivism later. Those small Oompah Lumpah's are getting a larger dose and of course will become evil. |

Getting near to two years, and still no sign of any Oompah Loompah figures? This is really sad. I'm currently painting a Willy Wonka figure I converted from a Foundry Victorian civilian. |

I guess I'll have to put him in charge of a panzer brigade or something. Oberfuhrer Wilhelm von Wonka, attack! |

I did finally create a Wonka, converted from one of the Foundry Victorian Gents' figures. I filed off a mustache and built up crazy Gene Wilder hair with green stuff. The rest of the figure was perfect -- tailed coat, waistcoat, flared top hat, even a cane! Here's the completed figure:
Now I still need Oompah Loopahs. |

The passing of Gene Wilder brings this subject to mind again. Sadly, no new postings on this thread since 2011, but maybe Oompah-Loompahs are fresh in people's minds again now, for a little while. I'm still searching! I had the thought last week that perhaps circus clowns may be the best conversion prospect, if they were 15mm, or dwarf-sized in 25mm, and had a similar style of dress and hair, or could be modified accordingly. Anyone have any leads for such? |

try Dragon Bait, they have a lot of novelty hobbits and gnomes – the hobbit butler has an Oompah Loompah type hairstyle |

Thanks for the tip, Samnite! Will check! |
