It has already been four months since Little Wars 2009 took place! The day passed in a blur of happy faces for me and I really cannot pick out any greater highlight than that for the whole event.
On behalf of Ara, Mike and myself (Nic) I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for coming along: traders, gamemasters and participants. I believe this was the best show yet and all the games on the day made me proud to be associated with the Melbourne gaming scene.
We anticipate running the event again next year at the same venue around the same time, a Sunday at the end of May. To help us do this we would appreciate your thoughts and feedback on the 2009 event.
If you could send us any pictures you took on the day and any thoughts you have about your game, or the way the event was run, we would be grateful to receive them. We would like to add them to our web site so that people who couldn't attend can see what they missed and hopefully plan early for next year.
We are also holding a ‘planning meeting' for Little Wars at Club Tivoli at 2pm on Sunday the 18th of October (the next League of Ancients meet). We'd love anyone who is interested to come along and have a chat with us – discuss possible games for next year, further involvement of clubs, and the long-term future of the event and/or venue.
Once again we all thank you for your involvement on the day and look forward to catching up and seeing what you thought of things.
