Years ago, when I was building my first Russian Napoleonic 25mm army, I bought a model of a round-bottomed supply wagon described as Russian Amphibious Wagon or some such. Now I'm working on my SECOND Russian army and I want some of these wagons, but can't remember the manufacturer or supplier. Any help out there? |

Minifigs used to do various vehicles, including pontoon-carriers, for various nations. |

Must admit I had never heard of these, and can't quite picture the concept. Were they pulled by sea-horses? |

Actually, the thing looks rather "boat-bottomed" with double shafts and a tall arched framework between the shafts reminiscent of a troika. Load capacity seems to be on the small side. I know I've seen some contemporary illustrations of these things, which is likely where the designer got the idea. As far as the maker gos, it's definitely not an old Minifig, as I own one each of that entire collection. I belive I ordered the thing from a guy in Arizona years ago, but that's about all I can pull out of my brain mush at this time. Oh,the line in question also featured sleighs for the 1812 campaign. Does that give anybody a clue? |

Apparently now deleted from the Bicorne catalogue. Pity. |

The propellers kept breaking off the models, so they decided not to sell them anymore. |
