I just set-up an egroup to discuss and game the early part of the Pacific War (1941-1943). Most of my stuff there is for the Philippine Campaign of '41-'42, but the group can cover any other campaign of that era. Hop in if you want:

Japanese Paratroopers against the Dutch!

Everybody NEEDS Japanese paratroops and Dutch East Indies troops. I've had some for a decade at least.

of course I've only used them once or twice in that time……… grin

Hi eveyone – I'm in as well! Just ordered some US Marines in the early war uniform from Fighting 15's for the Philippines campaign!

Getting the Dutch for the Indies invasion at Salute next year!

The Eureka minis are great little models. I have about half of mine painted and they are just plain cool. And at this scale it is pretty hard to tell if they have Springfields or Garands, so I've happy used them as both. Their Philippino troops are pretty cool too!

Oh, don't forget to check out the US Cavalry too! They mix very well with the Marines.

Thanks for the info. I have ordered a complete batallions worth of the US marines together with support (HMG's mortars etc) and a company of the Fillipino infantry. I also included a platoon of the sailors and a platoon of US cavalry (mounted and dismounted).

I use Battlegroup Panzergrenadier rules and the above is a sizeable force which probably will not be used all at once but I like to have all of the options available!

Just deciding on which vehicles/tanks for the US. A unit of M3 light tanks and a couple of half tracks with the 75mm gun should just about do.
