Now that I have put a base cost of color on my houses, what can I do to make them look and and abandonded or even battle scarred?

Any advice would be appreciated.
Or place to look for ideas?
Thanks
Michael

Aches and failing eyesight. Most aging gamers move to larger scale miniatures.

Grey paint, dry brushed on the wood works. Paint chipped off along the trim (windows etc). A white wash worked on the brick work adds age. Anything metal (nails, gutters) beginning to rust. Rust washing down from said metal.
All shrubberies and lawn over growing every thing. Any window glass broken. Unbroken glass can be given a light colored wash for grime. …And don't forget the trash. Cut up sprue for cans and bottles, wads of paper for bags and debris.
Go out and observe old buildings-or my town!!!
