A bizarre team, but a natural match for a truly bizarre RPG or movie-based game. Where might one find a suitable 28mm figure that could be painted as a passable Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder version) or Mary Poppins (spritely Julie Andrews version, not the formidable matron of the books)?

TMP members have never failed yet to meet the most twisted challenge when it comes to miniatures recommendations.

Probably Old West or Victorian ranges, maybe TVAGs "Not Gangs of New York" range.

With spears or Kalashnikovs?

I should think Blue Moon would have something appropriate.

A Mary Poppins zombie would be fun.

Lower right corner could make a passable Mary Poppins once you got the bottle out of her hand.

I think that one of the London Gentlemen work work for Mr Wonka as well.

Hey, that's pretty good! The idea of turning a Victorian strumpet figure into mary Poppins is also appealing in a sick way.

I've got other figures with parasols that I can take away and add to this one.

Hmm, having difficulty finding anything relevant on Westwind's website for some reason. Can you provide a direct URL to theie Victorian figure line? TVAG? Can't locate this company on TMP's manufacturers' directory.

The strumpets are in the Fantasy section in the Gothic Horror line under Jack the Ripper.

Thanks! Oh, found the TVAGS/Gangs of New York stuff with the Armchair general.

They don't have a picture of the gentlemen. Here's a shot of the set

Those London Gentlemen definately have some Thrilling Headgear.

Thanks for the photo, Skrapwelder! It bothered me that I couldn't see on the catalog site what sort of hats that group was wearing. Those bell-shakos are just the trick.

Funny. It happens to be Julie Andrew's Birthday today (74).

I don't think they'd make a good team. They're both too accustomed to doing things their own way.

I did finally create a Wonka, converted from one of the Foundry Victorian Gents' figures. I filed off a mustache and built up crazy Gene Wilder hair with green stuff. The rest of the figure was perfect -- tailed coat, waistcoat, flared top hat, even a cane! Here's the completed figure:

Now I still need Oompah Loopahs.

He looks like he's standing on a Necco wafer but he's not :-)

Looks good.

Spot on.

He looks positively spiffing! A proper Chap, if I might be so bold.
