I'd forgotten to photograph these after they were painted, so here we have the 2nd blog instalment for today!

Great painting!

I have been told this manufacturer uses a very hard alloy of zinc and aluminium that is not possible to scrap/clean mold lines and flash with a hobby knife. This has stopped me for buying their 15mm Naps.

Was this true also for these miniatures you painted and if yes, how did you get around this problem?

Many thanks!

I cut out the flash with the dremal tool wheel cutter. Be very careful and wear a dust mask and eye protection!

Nice. :)

Some I have the flash came away easily, others took a bit of work, but nothing to bad and a file did most of the work for me

Thanks…unfortunately I don't have a drill and I cannot be producing dust clouds at my appartment anyway…Too bad because these are very nice minis! Thanks again for your help!

Files work just fine for me-great little minis!

Sorry for coming late to the conversation and then adding something.

I've painted thousands of these little fellas. Never had any problem with flash. Wash, undercoat, paint, finished.
