Hi guys,

It's been a while since my last update. I've just posted up some pictures of my recently completed 6lb gun with crew and a Jäger officer. All figures are Front Rank, the gun accessories are from Eureka.
Let me know what you think

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Both your painting and photography have greatly improved. These will do well in the SD comp.

By the way it is Sharp Practice not Sharpe Practice – that would be an infringement of copyright.

Great work on the Austrian gun crew. I like the way you based them. What did you or how did make the base terrain.

Sorry to hear about your lost also.

Sorry to hear about your families loss.

Excellent paint work!!

I like the cannonball that plowed up ground beside your gun.
Did you scratch build the cassion?

Thanks for the kind words guys.
Hubbynz – I only thought about that after i'd already posted it over there. Oh well, i've got something cooking for the next comp. :)

The base is an MDF coaster i picked up from a local craft store, so i'm not entirely sure of the size. I'll measure it up and let you know.
To make the base, I covered the MDF in builder's filler and sculpted the ground, adding a few rocks and the cannonball's track. When the filler was almost set, i used a GW slotta base and a scalpel to hollow out spaces for the figures. It was not that difficult, but quite messy.
The caisson box thing is a French one from Eureka miniatures artillery accessories. I converted it so it looked something like the Austrian one using the Austrian Artillery Osprey for a guide.

As mentioned somewhere else… I love them! Great stuff.

Ben – awesome work! I love the detail that you have added in. I am working on a FR French Limber pulling a 12# gun and am inspired by your piece to finish it…thanks for sharing!
