Was looking over some old images I captured off the net (ebay) of WWII 15mm stuff. By far the best I have seen were the 82nd Abn stuff for FOW but I will be damn if I can remember who it was on ebay. Anyone have any outstanding 15mm Army photos on the net?

You were probably looking at Warpainter's airborne troopers:

If Troup of Shewe has any FOW, he would get my vote.

Warpainter's troops are fantastic. Just my two cents.

Why mine are the best, of course.
Sorry, no pictures. Just take my word for it, they're good.

Yeah, I consider myself a pretty good 15mm painter, but I wander out to some warpainter pictures whenever I need to remind myself that I ain't done learning yet ;-).

Those are fantastic ..it's the basing that really makes it. I want more! So who, then, is SECOND best?

Are you kidding – those are only just okay troops – I mean really – he painted too many stars on the flag AND they aren't all 5 pointed stars either – some of them are merely dots.

Really – those are excellent paint jobs – as good as or better than my best paint jobs. I've done work which is close to that on a few WWII figs – but those are really amazing. I've done as well on some of my SYW troops – those danged lace patterns drove me nuts! But to do it whole sale on a contract basis – surely he is one of the best if not the best contract painter I've seen – and I've seen quite a few!

I have images off Ebay of his 82nd Airborne figures that have the 82nd Airborne patch! I wish I could contact him to get some for the 82nd Division museum. They are building a new wing and looking for stuff. I am talking to them about doing a wargame in the back of the C-130 on site for next year!
