Search online for WW2 rules based on 40k. That will provide buckets of dice for free! |

Mud and Blood converted to WWII uses large amounts of D6's in some situations. In fact all TFL games use a lot of dice. |

"Patrol" uses more dice than any system I have ever seen. It is very small level though--like squad on squad. Battelground WW2 is my favorite system, and it can use lots of dice if there are units with a lot of SMGs or a lot of LMGs on the table. For instance, a 6 man SAS squad with Stens and Tommies would throw 36 dice to hit in one turn if they did nothing but fire. Take your pick. |

If you want buckets of dice I'd recommend Rules of Engagement. Mud & Blood also use a fair number of dice, but are for WW1. A conversion is in progress. These are my personal favorite. Links: greatescapegames.co.uk link -Mike |

BFE = Battlefield Evolution, from Mongoose Publishing. link Two useful (and one less than useful, according to reviews) books for WWII from Mongoose and a string of PDF releases from the author under his own imprint ( TMP link ). One of the minority of WWII games to address the Pacific Theater and China. Written with individually-based 25mm or 1/72 in mind, it can also be played in 15mm with group bases typical of Flames of War or Gear Krieg. One of the PDF releases is a conversion document for the Gear Krieg models, though not everyone is interested in Weird World War II. BFE WaW is primarily an infantry game between "reinforced" platoons, but includes (in the PDFs) most of the armor you would expect to see. The rulebook concentrates on late war Europe, while the rest of the material spans the entire war. |

Have you tried Rules of Engagement : link When those MG42s start chattering, you soon need buckets of dice believe me.. and a lot of luck. Great rules set for 28mm or 20mm. |
