I had to move a bunch of my miniatures stuff today, and lo and behold, I discovered the box containing some of the first stuff I ever sculpted and painted (with enamels, but I didn't know any better at the time).

The figs are around 20-25mm high, and were used to represent my informal roleplaying group's characters and recurring villains/NPCs.

Is that something riding a sheep?

Dunadan25 Sep 2009 8:25 a.m. PST

Yes, a FELL sheep!

Quite cute indeed.
I entertained myself trying to guess what they were before looking at the caption.

I want a fell sheep too. Who makes them these day? ;)

They were gaming Bored of the Rings.

I sometimes pull out the first figures I ever painted. Compared to how I paint now, they look a lot like those sculpts. Everybody has to start someplace. Thanks for sharing.

I scavenged the sheep from some plastic farm animals leftover from All Hallows Eve. The plastic horses were too skinny to work, and the sheep were more fitting for the humorous spirit of our games. Bored of the Rings? Do their ominous cloaked soldiers ride sheep as well?

Black sheep for those.
