Updated the blog with images of the 28mm WWII Canadians from Artizan. Really, they're British I'm painting as Canadian. tyler.provick.ca/?p=748 Only the faces so far in the blog, but I'm done the helmet and uniform. I'm trying a more subtle "more green than british BD" |

2nd Division, 5th Brigade, the Canadian Black Watch. For the longest time I played a computer game called WWIIOL as a member of the virtual Canadian Black Watch. Sadly no official unit history, but there is a war diary. |

There's something rather odd about Artizan's battle bowlers. But that seems to be a common fault in multiple ranges in multiple scales. Perhaps sculptors should be required to study photos such as these for a very long time before picking up the putty: link Allen |

By the way, do you have Michael Dorosh's "Dressed to Kill", published by Service Publications? If not, I recommend it as a guide to Canadian uniforms in WWII. It is unfortunately out of print now: servicepub.com/serv-pub.html Allen |

Great! No. 2 son played a piper in the First World War Black Watch for the CBC movie "The Great War" – I have lots of pictures of him in his WWI movie kit |

Thanks for the reference AEcurtis. I'm using mostly Canuck and Osprey's Canadian Forces in WWII. However, the book on formation markings would be very useful because neither of the books I have now cover the subject. Here's the latest: tyler.provick.ca/?p=750 |
