Just finished watching 2007 "Sluga Gosudarev" – "Sovereign's servant" film about 1709. Great swashbuckling film with lots of action and beautifully filmed. Excellent skirmish scenarios for Polish bandits vs. nobles and their escort, Russian peasants vs. Swedes and of course big battle scene of Poltava. I was surprised by some negative reviews on IMDB.com Not a perfect film, but solid fun. Highly recommend for war film buffs if you can get it with subtitles. imdb.com/title/tt0476695

I noted the Youtube snipits of this movie a few months back and it looked good. Did you purchase a DVD? Where was your source? Thanks in advance.
