What would be a good Hawk the Slayer figure? Also, what about the rest of the gang? Voltan? |

Never heard of Hawk the Slayer. Seen a B movie called Fishhawk once. |

At the time I thought Hawk the Slayer was the best movie I had ever seen
.I am sure it would not have stood the test of time though. Now, Captain Kronos Vampire hunter
that's a classic. |

I can't think of any modern miniatures, but he sure reminds me a lot of some of the old Ral Partha figs from the late 80s and early 90s. |

I loved that movie as a kid I wish Jack Palance had agreed to do the next movie thats what really killed it. |

.I am sure it would not have stood the test of time though. I thought it was my favourite movie for a long time, and always told people about it. Saw it again a few years ago, still love it, but it was cheesy. |

First time I saw it was in sixth grade – just when I was getting into D&D too. Thought it was the absolute best movie ever. As far as figures go, I agree early 80's RP is the way to go. There was a thief crouching with a longsword and bow that was my favorite character figure – puffy shirt and leather – makes a good (if short) stand in for Hawk link |

Jack Palance was such a fine Thespian! |

I also saw it in my teenage D&D phase (well, I say phase, if it goes on for a decade is it still a phase ??) It was at the Odeon Marble Arch, London, and that's a pretty big screen (or, at least it was back then !). As I recall it had a huge film logo attached to the outside of the cinema. Wow, I wanted one of those swords. And it was just SUPERB. Don't know what happened to it in the intervening years, but it seemed a bit less good when I saw it 20 years later on TV
.. Is Captain Kronos still a good film ????? |

You LIKED hawk the slayer? I thought it was dire. Hawk was pretty much extraneous. The elf could just kill everything with his machine-gun-bow. |

I saw it when I was a teen & I thought it was a pile back then. Actually Hawk was so rapid he killed quite a few but the elf didn't need much help. "Stunt Legolas" was one of the small number of things I disliked about LotR films
