I would like to know what Vallejo colour(s) you may have used to paint the jackets of these cavalry units.

The illustrations I have seen look more yellow than the described buff.

I would try VM Yellow Ochre with some VMC Pale Sand mixed in as a highlight. It looks very similar to the color used in the Hourtoulle books, anyway.

Hi

I used English Uniform as a basecoat and Beige as a top coat. Example below just follow the line and click on the Saxon album.

All the figures in the photos are 15mm Old Glory. I am still working on the photography side to give better images.
