Hey there, Having been inspired by the Metropolitan Museum of Art's armor collection, I'm embarking on a pretty long-term project of collecting and painting almost every available pack of Late Medieval/Early Renaissance Heavy Cavalry there is. Everything in white harness is fair game. I have packs from Mirliton, Essex, Venexia, Old Glory, Black Hat/Gladiator to buy over the next few months. Mind listing any manufacturers I've missed? |

Rank & File, I think now carried by 19th Century/Old Glory, has a some very nice mounted knights in full plate, with plate-armored horses. Be aware that the pack has horses in cloth caparisons mixed in too though. |

Metropolitan Museum of Art does have a superb collection. The mounted hall is awe inspiring. I would recommend the Wallace Collection in London too. Not as much as the Met but classic white harness seen in many books. On walkabout when I was younger, and inspired to visit by Gush's Renaissance Armies book – the Swiss National Museum in Zurich and Royal Armouries in Innsbruck are treasure troves! Well worth the visit if you are ever in the region. Cheers Mark |

FWIW the four Mounted Guys are from the 1500s and are wearing a different style of armor from what was used in the 15th century. |

Thanks for the suggestions. I've gotta say though, a bunch of the Essex (though the gendarme command pack is pretty), Irregular and Minifigs sculpts look rather fail
Perhaps I'm a bit spoiled by Mirliton and Venexia. |

Roundway, Peter Pig and Donnington are the three I mix and match with. The sizes are about right and they mix well. Barry |
