So I know the Warlord Romans are a touch small. I was wondering if their praetorians and new plastic auxiliary were scaled to match their original Romans or if they were bigger. I know someone here has the answer, but I couldn't find and info when I searched the posts. Any help is appreciated, thanks! |

TMP link Auxilliaries here. A bit bigger as far as I can see, but I own neither. |

The Auxilia are bigger and a little bit chunkier than their metal counterparts from Warlord. They'll match the middle and larger ranges of 28mm easily as well as fitting in with their existing Auxilia range (which are taller than their Romans). Guy |

That's interesting to hear. Is there a size comparison shot out there, of the new plastic auxilia, perhaps against a Foundry mini? Simon |

Well, Romans should be shorter than recruited barbarians

Thanks for the info, Gecoren. Anyone know about their praetorians? |

Why would they scale creep their own miniatures range so the older figs don't match the newer ones? I hope you're wrong. |

Legionaries are little italians, auxiliaries are big germans. |

I have the praetorian box and the minis in it are exactly the same as the legionaries except for different heads and shields. I went and bought the metal auxillaries before I knew the plastics were coming out. I may pick up a box of the plastics to get another unit of spearmen anyway. I kind of thought the same way as CooperSteve, as long as the minis are close they don't need to be exactly the same hight for me. |
