Hurst's Hambean Brand!
(or any other white/navy bean variety)
just glue 'em together with Elmer's

I take it you want 28mm.

If you want mealie bag walls, the sandbag walls made pre-painted by Pegasus Hobbies are excellent, and quite good value.

are mealie bags and sandbags the same? i thought the former were larger?

Yep, mealie bags are much larger – potato sack sized and really a two person lift if you are doing a lot. Whereas sandbags are designed as a one person lift, about 12"x 24" (30x60cm) without sand, and only filled about half way then tied off at the 18" (45cm) mark.

That said, the human eye seems to be pretty forgiving on the table top – look at what seem like 'good' sized bricks. Beans will look OK as filled bags in stacks, I've also seen chewing gum pellets (as opposed to sticks) used for sandbags/sacks to make bag walls for re-casting.

Perhaps look for 1/48 or 1/35 sandbags if they are that much bigger.

Tamiya do them.

In 15mm, Stone Mountain used to make them (both mealy and sand) for their 15mm Colonial range.

25mm i stock Pegasus for the store.

Frontline do them in their colonial range;
