Hi, no, I haven't, but I have purchased copies of the magazine Moyen Age, which is from the same publisher, and which has had very interesting (and well-done) articles on various castles and their histories, with excellent photographs, historical illustrations (sometimes only as far back as Violet-le-Duc), and watercolour reconstructions of architectural details.

I'll go through my copies of Moyen Age, and try to determine whether Gondoin wrote any of the castle articles…

I am not sure if there is a website – the Moyen Age Hors Série that I have in front of me does not mention a URL, but there is an e-mail address:

heimdal@wanadoo.fr

You may be able to find some information at the publisher's website:

editionsheimdal.fr

Sadly, the site would now seem to use Flash to switch to English when English browser settings are detected, making the French content inaccessible…

You could also try doing a web search for something like "'moyen age' heimdal .fr", which found this site:

Aha! I found this, too, for a subscription to Moyen Age.

If there is a large city near where you live, might there be a French-language or international book or magazine store of some kind that sells French magazines?

Even la Librairie Normandie would seem to have incomplete coverage of Heimdal's publications. For example, and IIRC, Moyen Age mentions the possibility of ordering back issues, but there would not seem to be any such indication on Librairie Normandie's website.

Here in some parts of Canada, we have a chain called Maison de la Presse Internationale, which sells Moyen Age, but only the current issue. If you're ever in Ottawa or Montreal, you may want to check them out.

What is that online store's URL?
