Mine are either in basic Russian green or green and tan camo.

Testor's Medium Green

I use to paint them in Vallejo 894 Russian Green (with a variable proportion of 892 Yellow Olive depending on which coat I'm applying),

Or in a green-earth camo pattern based on the above plus 983 Flat Earth:

I've also sometimes essayed some winter pattern, such as this one:

Second Testors Russian Armor Green – I go through a bottle of that stuff a year, it's a great all-around green color.

If Cold War, try medium olive green.
