I've posted a pretty detailed process by which I used spray paint and varnish to quickly paint "Space Rangers" by em4 miniatures. You can find details, photos, and a few bloopers here:

I hope if you're a pressed-for-time painter like me you find this helpful!

Very cool! I liked the red marine, but I'd go with gray too. I remember when that box of 30 first came out from Grenedier. They are considered SM knock off, but really look nothing like them at all. While mine are long gone, i want to get more to use as Space troops, maybe Clone Troopers in heavy armor, and 15mm battle suits.

Nice article and the pictures show that they are really nice paint jobs.

Well done.

The red guy and the gray guys don't look bad at all! I still have most of a box of the Grenadier release of these, molded in a dark red glossy plastic that was pretty difficult to paint over. Looking at your results, I'm feeling inspired to give 'em another try.

My son and I have over a 100 of these. They are nice if bulky and paint up decently.

Thanks,

John

I think for a quick job, and to get'em on the table, this isa good solution. Good pics and thanks for showing what didn't work. Good job!

Looks very good, really like the grey paintjob.
will have to dig out my set, use them as reinforcements for space hulk.
