Hi
Here's a sure fire way to curb you purchasing of Miniatures!
Have your wife drive your 4WD with water Bleeped texting out of it, and Crack a head!
Instant $7,000.00 USD hole in the wargames budget!

Big Martin16 Sep 2009 4:21 a.m. PST

That'd work!

Pictors Studio16 Sep 2009 4:23 a.m. PST

That or your wife needs to get a second job.

French Wargame Holidays16 Sep 2009 4:27 a.m. PST

cheaper to buy a whole motor I think.

I am sure the RAMAEE boys could do it as a side project ;)

cheers
Matt

Forgive them father, for they know not what they do…

Hi mate

Man I feel for you.

nsolomon9916 Sep 2009 4:38 a.m. PST

Yep, that should just about do it I'd reckon.

kreoseus216 Sep 2009 4:39 a.m. PST

You could get a new wife for less than that……

nycjadie16 Sep 2009 5:03 a.m. PST

"That or your wife needs to get a second job."

Or a third job, if necessary.

shelldrake16 Sep 2009 5:10 a.m. PST

How about making the 4WD part of her side of the divorce settlement?

BigLee16 Sep 2009 5:45 a.m. PST

Ooooo nasty. I'm afraid that (most) women and 4WD's just don't mix well. It's the sort of combo that nearly always ends in a squeel of breaks and crunching sound.

Oh trailape, I feel your financial pain. Ouch. Hope you're able to recover from it quickly and effectively. All the best.

Such is life!
She didn't do on purpose.
She compensates in other ways,…
And yes, it's a new engine for the Jackaroo, (hence $7K).
There are people much worse off, so me no complain.

No, I've been there kreosues2, it will be much, much more expensive to do that. In fact, you'll be selling minis off for food and shelter most likely.

What a bummer, trailape.

Ambush Alley Games16 Sep 2009 6:41 a.m. PST

Trust me, the old song has it right, "It's cheaper to keep her."

;)

When we were first married, my wife and I were talking about cars. It got on the subject of idiot lights. This a direct quote from my wife, "You mean you should stop right away if one those lights come, Surley you have enough time to drive to a service center." My response was a resounding "NO". I guess she listened, one of the few times.

That is an "Oh Dang" Day!

recon3516 Sep 2009 7:48 a.m. PST

Good Gosh, a crate 350 should only run about $4,000.00. What type engine do you have?

Jovian116 Sep 2009 8:30 a.m. PST

Man – sounds like an expensive proposition – what else on the vehicle went when she cracked the head? Did it throw a rod, sheer the transmission, burn up an expensive computer system?

tchristney16 Sep 2009 12:23 p.m. PST

$7,000 USD seems way too much. Do you have titanium heads on there or something?

Not trying to minimize your pain, I'd just hate to see you screwed twice.

trailape16 Sep 2009 4:14 p.m. PST

Hi
No, $7,000.00 USD AUD isn't to much for a new engine.
Also Radiator, and I'll get the Aircon re-gassed while the engine is out,..
It all adds up.
And yes, keeping the missus is cheaper, (I'm up to number 3 now).
I don't keep them past 30 yrs of age,…
This ones only got two more years and it's the boot for her.

Theword16 Sep 2009 4:48 p.m. PST

Haha.. is the couch comfortable mate?

; )

As an insurance appraiser if the water went up to or over the dash the vehicle should be a total loss . If she just drove through some deep water and the intake sucked in water , get aUsed engine .

You're actually taking this quite well. I'd be trying to figure out where to bury the body by now.

evilgong17 Sep 2009 1:44 a.m. PST

To take your mind off it all you need to go and buy some hussars or something.

"You're actually taking this quite well".
Well, it was an accident, and I guess it could happen to anyone.
