Which maker has figures that would fit in a fantasy samurai skirmish? I have Ollies Armies ones but I seem to remember a couple of other makers. Can anyone help me out?

RalPartha had the old Bushido line
link
Reaper had the AEG L5R line:
link
link
Rackham had the Uraken Goblins
link
Those are all OOP, but findable….
(Rackhams Dai-Bakemono are perhaps my Favorite Oni of all time)

MSB Toys has the Monkey king line
msbtoys.com
Asmodee has the Hell Dorado Immortals
link
Those are more Mainland China instead of Japanese…

Alkemy has the Jade Triad faction;mostly Player character types
link
Asmodee also has the wonderful Okko line with a few Demons
link
Black Hat has their Dragon Kings line; chinese, but nice fantasy
link
Black Orc has the BushidoClan line, lotsa samurai, but a nice ogre
link
DriveThruRPG has the Oriental Heroescharacter set, no demons or Ogres tho-
link
Iron Wind Metals has some Undead samurai
link
Old Glory has Samurai and China lines, not too many fantasy types:
link
link
link
Perry has mostly historicals, Choson Korean and Age of War: Samurai Armies
perry-miniatures.com
Reaper has some goodies;more than just these
link
Wyrd's Misaka is a great fig

Volstagg:

Wow – thanks for those links – hadn't seen most of them in that clear of an image before – I like the RalPartha Dai-Bakemono & Dai-Oni. Two of Shikome guys appear to have the early type of helmets. Regards, Dean

Correction:
The Rackham link (above) shows only the
Occidental goblins of no-dan-kar;
the Uraken goblins are the Samurat faction:
link
Images are mixed in with the occidental, but at least they are there-
Its worth mentioning these are bigger than they look; Hobgolins, easily

Decker:

I purchased Bob's samurai orcs and goblins and we are working together on some additional sculpts. One special sculpt is already on its way to the caster. Let me know if you need additional castings of the existing range (I just received the castings yesterday) or if you have any requests for additional stuff.

I'd really like to add to this range so long as people are buying.

Best,
Steve

thanks Steve! those Ollies Armies ones are the best IMO, I could kick myself for giving most of them to a friend as a bribe to get him into the idea of a fantasy style samurai skirmish game.
Let me know when y'all are up and running, I'll be ordering ASAP!

Charlie

Will do. I love this range and am very excited to add to it.

nycjadie22 Sep 2009 10:18 a.m. PST

We have all of Bob Olley's samurai orcs and goblins up for sale now and will be expanding on the range shortly.
