Working on a Khartoum fort. Any suggestions on paint for the walls?

Mudbrick, unlikely to have been painted, I would have thought.

Yes, I meant to paint it to look correctly, not that they actually painted the walls. Thanks.

Not been to the Sudan but in other bits of the Sahara the forts are generally the same colour as the mud/ground around them.

They do look a lot nicer as models with a coat of whitewash though!

I generally do desert forts with khaki colour highlighted with cream, then with a brown wash on them. This is then highlighted with cream again when dry. But for khartoum I would probably follow Martin's advice and use Cel Vinyl's wood gray 25, highlighted with their mud gray.

I like Pictors Studio suggestion.

Unpainted mud bricks still have a color and the color of the casting material can be red, gray or brown. Though some gamers like it 'sun bleached' with a white wash as an option.

I like lilac.
