So I figured out a scale for my giant monster game based on the buildings and monsters I already have lying around. 1/900. 2mm will also work, I guess. I'm looking for companies that sell models that could possibly fit into a giant monster game, modern or sci-fi. Tanks, buses, buildings, scenery, helicopters, jets, boats. I gave my son a test drive of how I want the rules to work and he about lost his little mind. His robot beat my alien invader. Plus I might get some adults who never grew up involved later. |

This link is an expansion on the one A Beasley gave for terrain. It includes the Irregular infantry and ideas on 2mm. link Other 2 and 3mm makers are Odzial Osmy who are sold by Fighting 15s in the UK and Pico Armor in the USA. JTF600 sold by Pico Armor. JTF600 are resin and take a bit of work to get a decent looking model For me JTF 600 is a last resort. picoarmor.com Ground Zero Games in the UK make and sell Germys Micro Mini SF link Tumbling Dice make tanks and aircraft tumblingdiceuk.com Pictures of many of the TD aircraft can be found at Doms Decals link Finally check the Yahoo groups for 2mm link and 1/600 air combat link There are also 1/700 tanks and aircraft. One US seller is Pacific Front hobbies pacificfront.com/catalog Look under their metal kits and accessories heading and the plastic kits and accessories heading. Another quick note: Tony Hughes (Tiny Tin Troops) has gotten into card building for 2/3mm. He can probably turn out some modern buildings for you. Al |

Hi Allen TTT hasn't actually produced any 1/900th card buildings as yet, so far the range is only 1/300th. I'm so busy with a mass of painting comissions at present that any new stuff isn't likely for a month or two but some 1/300th stuff for WW2 and possibly later is in development and I do hope to get around to 'shrinking' them to 1/600 or 1/900 in the future. Sorry Tony, I looked at your site the other day and thought the announcement was for 1/900 since that is always my focus when looking at your site. Couldnt talk you into doing some 1/600s could I? Thanks for providing great references for 2mm gamers. Warwick 13, Another suggestion for 1/700 is Takara aircraft usually found on eBay. They can be expensive but they are beautifully prepainted. I have B52s, B2s, Tu Blackjack and an airborne laser lab which is great for zapping missiles and perhaps hideous creatures. Al |
