I was lucky enough to secure a stash of the slurpee T2 harvester models from CC. They are very nice but i have a question. How do you straighten the bends out so they stay that way? I have another question on the same subject (which i think i have asked before), what glue do you use on these type of models, if i want to repose them? Will plastic glue work? i would rather not experiment on such a rare item in the UK. |

Hi Stewbags 1) Place item in very hot/boiling water 2) Bend/straighten 3) Immediately dunk into very cold water 4) Repeat if necessary Take all necessary precautions to prevent scalding. I use PVA glue on soft plastics. Cheers Mark |

I have had good luck with dipping the figure in boiling water for a couple of seconds then straighten and hold until cool or hold and run under cool water. It at least works to spears and such on 1/72nd figures. Careful with that water it can give some nasty burns. TMP link As for glue I use the two part Loctite Glue for plastics. Works like a charm. link LLC aka Ron |

I found that a Hairdryer set on high worked well; heat fig, bend into position, run under cold tap to set. Worked a charm- |

I've used the method Dropship Horizon outlines above. From near boiling to near freezing water (the latter is still easily available in Finland during winter) tends to do the trick on the first go. Only tried it for relatively thick objects tho. |
