Found this at Micheal's today. Less than $5 USD a pop.
I bought two!

Looks like I got me some chain-link fencing for my upcoming Zombieville!

I use this for the same purpose. It works great.

I use bridal mesh. Spray paint black, with a spray 'dusting' of silver, make poles, ta da!

Richard! You wedding thief!! You so bad! laugh

I've also got some of those smaller wooden coffee stirrers for making the classic plank wooden fence and some of the larger type for my shanty shacks, boat docks, etc…

Everything is getting close to having all the materials on hand to make some real progress with my town. grin

I use the plastic window replacement screen you can get at DIY stores

Doesn't that have square holes in the links? That means you have to cut it at a angle to get the links correct.

This stuff is already diamond shaped in the up-down orientation and ready to go.

yes, the "wedding mesh" is known as tulle. i have seen it mostly in white, but it is available in other colors, even grey, so you won't have to paint it for fencing….

Yup, Warrenss2. I crash weddings for terrain!

Go to the wedding for the tulle, stay for the free beers…until they figgure out I don't belong there… as wedding tulle is stuffing my pockets! laugh

I was recently looking at 1/4" wire mesh at our neighborhood Home Depot. It measured something like 4'x8', and cost <$10 if memory serves.

Of course I need enough to cover a 3"x5" card, and wish I could spend <$1 on it.

Also found in some auto departments as a base for patching panels with fiberglass. In the art department you can get sheets up to 24" x 24" in a variety of mesh sizes. In both cases the mesh is cut on the diagonal so there is no waste cutting it from a square sheet for mesh fences.

I used drywalling tape to good effect a while back.
